How to read the 16002 designation
| Segment | Meaning |
|---|---|
| 16 | Deep groove ball bearing, narrow width series (ISO dimension series 10, reduced width) |
| 0 | Diameter series 0 |
| 02 | Bore code 02 → 15 mm bore. ISO bore code (00–03 = 10/12/15/17 mm; 04 and above = code × 5 mm). |
16002 interchange
16002 is an ISO designation. The boundary dimensions are identical across manufacturers; only suffixes (seals, clearance, cage) differ.
Brand names are trademarks of their respective owners. FULI is not affiliated with, authorized by or endorsed by these companies. Part numbers are shown for interchange reference only. FULI dimensions, load ratings and speeds come from the FULI catalog.
Tolerances and fits for 16002
FULI makes 16002 to P0 as standard, with P6 on request. P0 is the Normal tolerance class of ISO 492; P6 limits are tighter. These are the P0 limits for the 15 × 32 × 8 mm size.
| Dimension | Nominal, mm | Deviation, µm | Limits, mm |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bore d (Δdmp) | 15 | 0 / −8 | 15.000 / 14.992 |
| Outside diameter D (ΔDmp) | 32 | 0 / −11 | 32.000 / 31.989 |
| Width B (ΔBs) | 8 | 0 / −120 | 8.000 / 7.880 |
Δdmp and ΔDmp: deviation of the mean bore and mean outside diameter in one radial plane. ΔBs: inner ring width; the outer ring width has the same limits.
Shaft and housing fits (general guidance)
For an inner ring that turns with a solid steel shaft under normal load, bearing makers’ fit tables give 15 j5 for the shaft of 16002. The housing bore is usually H7, or J7 where the outer ring must not creep.
| Seat | Deviation, µm | Limits, mm | Fit with 16002 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Shaft 15 j5 | +5 / −3 | 15.005 / 14.997 | 13 µm interference to 3 µm clearance |
| Housing 32 H7 | +25 / 0 | 32.025 / 32.000 | 0 to 36 µm clearance |
| Housing 32 J7 | +14 / −11 | 32.014 / 31.989 | 11 µm interference to 25 µm clearance |
Taking the loosest and the tightest combination of limits, a P0 16002 on a 15 mm j5 shaft has 13 µm interference to 3 µm clearance. Its outer ring has 0 to 36 µm clearance in an H7 bore and 11 µm interference to 25 µm clearance in a J7 bore.
This is general guidance, not a FULI specification. Heavy or shock loads, a hollow shaft, a thin-walled, split or light-alloy housing, or a large temperature difference between shaft and housing call for other classes, and the drawing of your machine takes priority. A tight shaft fit or a hot housing uses up internal clearance, and that is when C3 is chosen instead of C0.
If the outer ring turns and the shaft stands still, as in an idler pulley or a wheel hub, the fits are reversed: the housing gets the interference fit (for example N7 or P7) and the shaft a sliding one (g6 or h6).

16002 weight, load ratings and speed
FULI's catalog gives the weight of 16002 as about 0.027 kg, so 100 bearings weigh about 2.7 kg and 1,000 about 27 kg before packing. The open, ZZ and 2RS versions share this catalog line.
16002 has a dynamic load rating Cr of 5.04 kN and a static load rating C0r of 2.73 kN. Cr is the load used to work out rating life; C0r is the reference for loads carried while the bearing is stationary or turning slowly. Limiting speeds in the catalog are 21,000 rpm with grease and 25,000 rpm with oil.
Contact seals add friction at the lip, so 16002-2RS usually runs below the speed of the open bearing. Ask us for the limit of the version you order.

16002 dimensions in inches
The nearest common inch shaft size to the 15 mm bore of 16002 is 9/16 in (14.29 mm), 0.71 mm smaller than the bore, so 16002 would be loose on it. Inch shafts need an inch bearing, not a metric one with a sleeve or shim.
| Dimension | Millimetres | Inches |
|---|---|---|
| Bore d | 15 mm | 0.5906 in |
| Outside diameter D | 32 mm | 1.2598 in |
| Width B | 8 mm | 0.3150 in |
Converted at 1 in = 25.4 mm and rounded to four decimals. The bearing itself is made to the millimetre sizes.
Grease for 16002
FULI fills sealed 16002-2RS and 16002-ZZ bearings to about 30% of the free internal space as standard. The fill is set on an automatic greasing machine after sample sets are weighed before and after greasing. Sealed bearings are not regreased in service. A different fill level, a low-noise grease or a grease for a stated temperature range can be written on the order; for North America a range of −40 to 120 °C is often asked for.
Relubricating 16002 from the side takes about 1.28 g each time by the formula in our grease calculator: 0.005 × D × B = 0.005 × 32 × 8. This applies to the open 16002 in a housing with a grease supply.
How FULI supplies 16002
The standard 16002 from FULI has GCr15 chrome steel rings and balls, P0 precision, C0 radial clearance and vibration grade Z3V3; P6, C3 and other vibration grades are made on request. Radial clearance is set on automatic assembly equipment and sampled during production. Orders with a noise or vibration requirement are tested set by set before packing.
Rings are marked with a brand you are authorised to use, with the FULI brand, or left neutral, as your order states. The box is printed with the model, precision class and brand.
Inquiries that leave out the prefix or suffix letters are the usual cause of a wrong quote, so write the full designation, for example 16002-2RS C3.

FAQ
What is the difference between 16002 and 6002?
Both fit a 15 mm shaft. 16002 is 15 × 32 × 8 mm and 6002 is 15 × 32 × 9 mm, so 6002 has the same 32 mm outside diameter and 1 mm more width (9 mm). In FULI's catalog 6002 has a dynamic load rating of 5.04 kN against 5.04 kN and a weight of about 0.031 kg against 0.027 kg for 16002. Choose 6002 for a higher load where the housing has room for it; 16002 keeps the housing smaller.
What is the difference between 16002 and 6902?
Both fit a 15 mm shaft. 16002 is 15 × 32 × 8 mm and 6902 is 15 × 28 × 7 mm, so 6902 has an outside diameter 4 mm smaller (28 mm) and 1 mm less width (7 mm). In FULI's catalog 6902 has a dynamic load rating of 3.69 kN against 5.04 kN and a weight of about 0.015 kg against 0.027 kg for 16002. 6902 suits a housing with less room; 16002 carries more load.
What size is 16002 in inches?
16002 is 0.5906 × 1.2598 × 0.3150 in (15 × 32 × 8 mm, d × D × B). The nearest common inch shaft size to the 15 mm bore of 16002 is 9/16 in (14.29 mm), 0.71 mm smaller than the bore, so 16002 would be loose on it. Use an inch bearing on an inch shaft.
How much does 16002 weigh?
About 0.027 kg in FULI's catalog, so 100 pieces weigh about 2.7 kg before packing. The open, ZZ and 2RS versions share this catalog line.
What is the difference between 16002-ZZ and 16002-2RS?
Both are 15 × 32 × 8 mm, the same as the open 16002. 16002-ZZ has two metal shields that do not touch the inner ring, so it runs with little drag but only keeps out coarse dirt. 16002-2RS has two rubber seals whose lips touch the inner ring; it keeps out water and fine dust at the cost of more friction. FULI fills both to about 30% of the free space.
How much grease does 16002 need?
Sealed 16002-2RS and 16002-ZZ come filled to about 30% of the free space and are not regreased. An open 16002 relubricated from the side takes about 1.28 g each time (0.005 × 32 × 8).
Is 16002 the same size across brands?
Yes. 16002 is an ISO designation, so the bore, outside diameter and width are the same whichever manufacturer made it. Brand-specific suffixes only change details such as seals, clearance or cage.
