How to read the 6910 designation

SegmentMeaning
6Single row deep groove ball bearing
9Dimension series 19 (light thin section)
10Bore code 10 → 50 mm bore. ISO bore code (00–03 = 10/12/15/17 mm; 04 and above = code × 5 mm).

6910 interchange

6910 is an ISO designation. The boundary dimensions are identical across manufacturers; only suffixes (seals, clearance, cage) differ.

Brand names are trademarks of their respective owners. FULI is not affiliated with, authorized by or endorsed by these companies. Part numbers are shown for interchange reference only. FULI dimensions, load ratings and speeds come from the FULI catalog.

Tolerances and fits for 6910

FULI makes 6910 to P0 as standard, with P6 on request. P0 is the Normal tolerance class of ISO 492; P6 limits are tighter. These are the P0 limits for the 50 × 72 × 12 mm size.

DimensionNominal, mmDeviation, µmLimits, mm
Bore d (Δdmp)500 / −1250.000 / 49.988
Outside diameter D (ΔDmp)720 / −1372.000 / 71.987
Width B (ΔBs)120 / −12012.000 / 11.880

Δdmp and ΔDmp: deviation of the mean bore and mean outside diameter in one radial plane. ΔBs: inner ring width; the outer ring width has the same limits.

Shaft and housing fits (general guidance)

For an inner ring that turns with a solid steel shaft under normal load, bearing makers’ fit tables give 50 k5 for the shaft of 6910. The housing bore is usually H7, or J7 where the outer ring must not creep.

SeatDeviation, µmLimits, mmFit with 6910
Shaft 50 k5+13 / +250.013 / 50.0022 to 25 µm interference
Housing 72 H7+30 / 072.030 / 72.0000 to 43 µm clearance
Housing 72 J7+18 / −1272.018 / 71.98812 µm interference to 31 µm clearance

Taking the loosest and the tightest combination of limits, a P0 6910 on a 50 mm k5 shaft has 2 to 25 µm interference. Its outer ring has 0 to 43 µm clearance in an H7 bore and 12 µm interference to 31 µm clearance in a J7 bore.

This is general guidance, not a FULI specification. Heavy or shock loads, a hollow shaft, a thin-walled, split or light-alloy housing, or a large temperature difference between shaft and housing call for other classes, and the drawing of your machine takes priority. A tight shaft fit or a hot housing uses up internal clearance, and that is when C3 is chosen instead of C0.

If the outer ring turns and the shaft stands still, as in an idler pulley or a wheel hub, the fits are reversed: the housing gets the interference fit (for example N7 or P7) and the shaft a sliding one (g6 or h6).

6910 weight, load ratings and speed

FULI's catalog gives the weight of 6910 as about 0.135 kg, so 100 bearings weigh about 13.5 kg and 1,000 about 135 kg before packing. The open, ZZ and 2RS versions share this catalog line.

6910 has a dynamic load rating Cr of 14.04 kN and a static load rating C0r of 11.71 kN. Cr is the load used to work out rating life; C0r is the reference for loads carried while the bearing is stationary or turning slowly. Limiting speeds in the catalog are 8,500 rpm with grease and 10,000 rpm with oil.

Contact seals add friction at the lip, so 6910-2RS usually runs below the speed of the open bearing. Ask us for the limit of the version you order.

6910 versions: open, ZZ, 2RS and C3

Every version of 6910 has the same 50 × 72 × 12 mm boundary dimensions; only the cover between the rings and the internal clearance change. FULI supplies open, ZZ and 2RS versions, with C0 clearance as standard and C3 on request. Other makers write the same covers as 2Z or ZZ for shields and 2RS1, DDU or LLU for contact seals.

Grease for 6910

FULI fills sealed 6910-2RS and 6910-ZZ bearings to about 30% of the free internal space as standard. The fill is set on an automatic greasing machine after sample sets are weighed before and after greasing. Sealed bearings are not regreased in service. A different fill level, a low-noise grease or a grease for a stated temperature range can be written on the order; for North America a range of −40 to 120 °C is often asked for.

Relubricating 6910 from the side takes about 4.32 g each time by the formula in our grease calculator: 0.005 × D × B = 0.005 × 72 × 12. This applies to the open 6910 in a housing with a grease supply.

How FULI supplies 6910

The standard 6910 from FULI has GCr15 chrome steel rings and balls, P0 precision, C0 radial clearance and vibration grade Z3V3; P6, C3 and other vibration grades are made on request. Radial clearance is set on automatic assembly equipment and sampled during production. Orders with a noise or vibration requirement are tested set by set before packing.

Rings are marked with a brand you are authorised to use, with the FULI brand, or left neutral, as your order states. The box is printed with the model, precision class and brand.

Inquiries that leave out the prefix or suffix letters are the usual cause of a wrong quote, so write the full designation, for example 6910-2RS C3.

FAQ

What is the difference between 6910 and 16010?

Both fit a 50 mm shaft. 6910 is 50 × 72 × 12 mm and 16010 is 50 × 80 × 10 mm, so 16010 has an outside diameter 8 mm larger (80 mm) and 2 mm less width (10 mm). In FULI's catalog 16010 has a dynamic load rating of 11.88 kN against 14.04 kN and a weight of about 0.175 kg against 0.135 kg for 6910. Choose 16010 for a higher load where the housing has room for it; 6910 keeps the housing smaller.

What is the difference between 6910 and 6810?

Both fit a 50 mm shaft. 6910 is 50 × 72 × 12 mm and 6810 is 50 × 65 × 7 mm, so 6810 has an outside diameter 7 mm smaller (65 mm) and 5 mm less width (7 mm). In FULI's catalog 6810 has a dynamic load rating of 5.94 kN against 14.04 kN and a weight of about 0.050 kg against 0.135 kg for 6910. 6810 suits a housing with less room; 6910 carries more load.

What size is 6910 in inches?

6910 is 1.9685 × 2.8346 × 0.4724 in (50 × 72 × 12 mm, d × D × B). The nearest common inch shaft size to the 50 mm bore of 6910 is 1-15/16 in (49.21 mm), 0.79 mm smaller than the bore, so 6910 would be loose on it. Use an inch bearing on an inch shaft.

How much does 6910 weigh?

About 0.135 kg in FULI's catalog, so 100 pieces weigh about 13.5 kg before packing. The open, ZZ and 2RS versions share this catalog line.

What is the difference between 6910-ZZ and 6910-2RS?

Both are 50 × 72 × 12 mm, the same as the open 6910. 6910-ZZ has two metal shields that do not touch the inner ring, so it runs with little drag but only keeps out coarse dirt. 6910-2RS has two rubber seals whose lips touch the inner ring; it keeps out water and fine dust at the cost of more friction. FULI fills both to about 30% of the free space.

How much grease does 6910 need?

Sealed 6910-2RS and 6910-ZZ come filled to about 30% of the free space and are not regreased. An open 6910 relubricated from the side takes about 4.32 g each time (0.005 × 72 × 12).

Is 6910 the same size across brands?

Yes. 6910 is an ISO designation, so the bore, outside diameter and width are the same whichever manufacturer made it. Brand-specific suffixes only change details such as seals, clearance or cage.
